From Restlessness to Resilience: Chanchal’s Journey with Meditation and Anulom-Vilom
How Our AIM Foundation’s school mindfulness program is helping students develop focus, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Finding Calm, One Breath at a Time
“ My name is Chanchal, and I am a student of Class 7. Today, I would like to share how meditation and Anulom-Vilom have changed my life. A few months ago, I often felt restless and struggled to concentrate on my studies. I would easily become distracted and felt particularly stressed and nervous during examinations. Staying focused was difficult, and I wanted to find a way to feel calmer and more confident. Through Our AIM Foundation’s school-based mindfulness program, I began practicing meditation every morning. I started with 10 minutes of meditation and five minutes of Anulom-Vilom Pranayama daily. Initially, sitting quietly in one place was challenging. However, with consistent practice, I gradually became more comfortable and started enjoying these peaceful moments.
Over time, I began noticing positive changes in my daily life. Regular meditation has helped improve my concentration and memory. I can now remember lessons taught in class more easily, and subjects that once seemed difficult feel more manageable. Meditation has also helped me approach examinations with greater confidence. I no longer feel as afraid or overwhelmed during tests. Instead, I feel calmer and better prepared to handle academic challenges. Along with meditation, Anulom-Vilom Pranayama has become an important part of my daily routine. It helps me feel calmer, more energetic, happier, and more positive throughout the day. These changes have encouraged me to continue practicing mindfulness and make it a regular part of my life.”
Our AIM Foundation’s Commitment to Mindful Education
At Our AIM Foundation, we believe that education extends beyond academic achievement. Children also need opportunities to develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, concentration, and healthy ways to manage everyday stress.
Through its school-based mindfulness initiatives, Our AIM Foundation encourages students to explore meditation and breathing practices that support their overall learning experience and personal development. Chanchal’s story highlights how a simple daily routine can make a meaningful difference in how a student experiences school life. Her journey reflects the importance of introducing mindfulness into education and creating supportive environments where children can grow academically and emotionally.
A Message to Other Students
“I would encourage all my school friends to practice meditation and Anulom-Vilom every day and experience the positive changes for themselves!”
Chanchal’s experience reminds us that meaningful change can begin with just a few minutes each day. With regular practice, encouragement, and support, students can develop habits that help them approach learning and everyday challenges with greater calm and confidence. At Our AIM Foundation, we remain committed to promoting mindfulness, compassionate education, and student well-being, helping children build a stronger foundation for a brighter future.
