Every day, millions of children and elderly people in Africa and South Asia struggle due to poor vision, often missing out on essential opportunities for education and independence. Globally, over 2.7 billion people have poor vision that isn’t corrected, and most of them live in low-income areas. In Africa alone, about 80 million people have vision problems, while South Asia has around 500 million. For children, blurry vision means falling behind in school and missing out on important playtime. For older adults, it means losing their independence and having a harder time with daily tasks.
Our Aim Foundation has partnered with First Sight to provide corrective eyeglasses to people living in the remotest areas of the world in South Asia and Africa.
