The beneficiaries of this generous donation were many esteemed healthcare institutions operating under the Ministry of Health: the renowned Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (Qech), the vital Blantyre District Health Office (DHO),  Directorate of Health and Social Services, Lilongwe, and the esteemed Kachere Rehabilitation Center (MAPD). These institutions have been serving as beacons of hope, providing crucial healthcare services to thousands of people in the Southern Region of Malawi.

Speaking passionately during the heartfelt presentation, Dr. Parth Patel, trustee of OAF explained, “We decided to make the donation to these hospitals as they are major health service providers in the Southern Region, and the influx of patients seeking medical assistance remains in the hundreds of thousands. Our focus goes beyond the medical aspect, as we also recognize the importance of rehabilitation services.”

Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, esteemed for its exceptional contributions to healthcare in Malawi, welcomed this substantial donation with gratitude and open arms. As the largest referral hospital in the country, Qech plays a pivotal role in treating complex medical cases and providing specialized care to patients from all corners of Malawi.
