Skills for Self-Reliance: Our Aim Foundation’s Women and Youth Empowerment Programs Across Pakistan, India and Malawi

Economic independence begins with skills. In September 2026, Our Aim Foundation (OAF) moved its Women Empowerment and Youth Empowerment programs forward in Pakistan, India and Malawi, creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods and modern employment.

Youth Digital Skills: A Course Completed

OAF completed a four-week Digital Literacy and Digital Marketing course for students in Pakistan and India. Delivered online, it covered digital tools, social media marketing, content creation, online promotion, audience engagement, and online income opportunities. The course gave students practical skills for education, freelancing, employment, and entrepreneurship. Advanced modules, including graphic design, e-commerce, and affiliate marketing, are planned next.

Women’s Vocational Training in Chitral, Pakistan

OAF is establishing a sewing skills program at its Chitral Center to give women and girls tailoring skills that can become income-generating opportunities. September focused on preparation and coordination, including training structure and resources. Next steps include securing equipment, finalising participants, starting classes, and connecting trained women with livelihood opportunities.

Building Vocational Training in Malawi

In Malawi, OAF is working toward TEVET registration to create a recognised vocational training platform for women and young people. Youth Empowerment registration is also under way, laying the framework for skills training and digital empowerment.

Ngoza Primary School Development Project

OAF’s Ngoza Primary School project in Malawi was approved by the Extra-District DEC on 10 September 2026 and completed a government technical site assessment on 16 September. It is now at the MoU finalisation stage, after which the feeding shelter and WASH facilities will proceed.
