Sheila Ntombocela Bandazi, a healthcare veteran with over 40 years of experience, has dedicated her career to advancing nursing and midwifery, primarily in Malawi. She began her journey as a staff nurse at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in 1979 and eventually rose to the position of Director of Nursing Services in the Ministry of Health.  Throughout her journey, she shaped nursing policy, ensured quality care, and advocated for professional development. Sheila’s impact extended globally, collaborating with organizations like Laerdal Global Health and Rotary International to enhance maternal and neonatal healthcare. Retired from government service in 2015, her legacy of commitment to learning and sharing knowledge continues to inspire healthcare professionals both in Malawi and beyond.
