Ambassador (Awareness in Mind Program)
Sam Vincent, a former basketball player and coach, brings a wealth of experience to his role as ambassador for the Awareness in Mind program at Our Aim Foundation. With a distinguished sports career that includes playing with the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and three other teams, he earned recognition, notably receiving the ‘Mr. Basketball’ award from the State of Michigan in 1981. Vincent has since transitioned to coaching, guiding teams such as the Nigerian women’s basketball team and the Bahrain National team. His dedication extends beyond the court as he advocates for mental health awareness and support. Vincent’s active participation highlights a deep recognition of the link between physical strength and psychological health. Through advocating for mental health awareness, he aims to promote mental health, encouraging others to confront obstacles with strength and seek assistance when needed, transforming the game into a catalyst for meaningful societal transformation driven by compassion and awareness.
